Sealed Cartridge Bearings - Chrome & Stainless Steel

This listing is for single individual sealed cartridge Stainless & Chrome Steel bearings.

These bearings are ideal for use in Wheel Hubs. For frame pivots we recommend using MAX Full Compliment Bearings.

Choose the type of bearing by its code number

For Example:

Chrome Steel:- 6800-2RS (No Prefix) MR prefixed bearings are chrome steel

Stainless Steel:- S6800-2RS (Prefixed with 'S' which indicates Stainless Steel)

Please Note: This listing is for individual (x1) Bearings Only. They do not contain any washers or other hardware.

The bearings will be dispatched loose in gripseal bags.

If you look after your frame pivots/wheel hubs & replace the bearings regularly you shouldn't need to replace your other washers & hardware. Keep everything well greased, avoid pressure washing at all costs & avoid using solvent based sprays & lubricants around your bearings, as these dissolve the grease in the bearings!!

Chrome Steel (ABEC 1):- Great value for money sealed cartridge bearing. Hardened Chromium Steel balls in a steel cage with a generous grease fill.

Looked after with regular greasing & avoid pressure washers & solvent cleaners they will last well in normal off road riding conditions.

Stainless Steel (ABEC 1):- Great resistance to corrosion in harsh wet riding conditions. Grade 440C Stainless Steel balls in Stainless Steel cage & races.

Grade 440C stainless steels are high carbon steels, which attain the highest hardness, wear resistance and strength of all stainless steel grades after heat treatment. These properties make this grade suitable for applications such as valve components and ball bearings.

Very hard wearing with a high grease fill.
